receeve.it finally re-launched yesterday. We’re excited and much happier with the platform we’ve started with this time round. We pretty much re-coded everything and hope we’ve got it right this time.
Some features will be missing, while others have been introduced, but we hope to bring a lot of our old features back quickly and seamlessly.
Over the coming days and weeks, I’ll be moving receeve.it to it’s real home, removing dev from it’s URL! Big step for the project so that future users can just sign up to the site.

Normal development should pick up soon after as time allows. Feature requests are always welcome.
Oh and we will be in BETA for a while yet, but the move should coincide with version 0.8

I’ve had some great feedback recently and a few issues raised, so we’re ironing them out as best we can. While we’ve been working to finish some features off, we’ve noticed other things missing and decided to add a bit more functionality here and there while also improving exciting features.
We’re looking at a BETA release in the next week or so, so keep your eyes peeled!

Although we has planned to make a BETA release in March, April is now upon us and we are not as close as we’d like to be. We have two sticking points right now. One is a feature that needs to be completed and the other is a lack of knowledge. We hope to have the first ironed out over the coming weekend and the other by the end of April at the latest… however we may just drop it from our first BETA release and introduce it once we’re 100% ready with it. It’s a key piece for us, so no point doing the work unless it will be done right!
Internally, we’re on version 0.6 and our BETA will be 0.65 or 0.7 so we won’t be far off from our full official launch, depending on user experiences and feedback off course!
When we first launched our signup page, we were planning to stagger user sign ups, but we feel that we might be ready to open our doors to all. Please check back soon and keep an eye out for our launch!
I got back a few weeks ago from India, but just because I’ve been taking my time updating the blog, doesn’t mean I’ve been taking my time to develop. The site is coming along really nicely and a few new Ajax enhancements are in place.
Our BETA launch may be pushed back further as life gets in the way, but we have our first outside user in the system and they have had some positive feedback as well as good ideas for small enhancements.

One thing that has been on the horizon for me is a quick trip to India that is likely to get in the way of receeve.it development. That trip is now just hours away so a weeks development is about to disappear, but when I return, I aim to push the BETA version of receeve.it for registrations and release.
We’ve begun a few real world tests of receeve.it and we’re really happy with the results so far. As I’ve tweeted a few times, a new skinning is needed and is in the works, but some improvements will be made thanks to the testing we’ve completed so far. We hope to open up the BETA program very, very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
